Managing Institution Settings

In this article, you will learn how to edit/add/remove institutions from an account.

Step 1: In order to edit Institution settings, click on “Settings” icon on the upper right side of the page.

Step 2: Then, click on “Account Settings” item on the upper left side of the page.

Step 3: On account settings field, click on “Institution Settings” menu item.

Institution Settings page will be opened and institutions of the account will be shown. Every account has a default institution which is created by using Name and Surname combination. You can change institution name/address and assign a PACS server to that institution. You can change the name of the institution or determine report print options by clicking on the “Edit Institution” icon.

After clicking, “Edit Institution” form will be shown. On that form you can edit name and address of the institution. After editing, click on “Save” button.

Step 4: Also, you can determine report print options in this field. Click on “Report Print Options” item on the upper side of the field.

In this form, you can edit the content of your report by uploading a logo and entering a text or patient information. You can see the preview of the report on the right side of the form. Fill the related blanks and click on “Save” button.

Step 5: Each Institution can have dedicated postDICOM PACS Server. Before using postDICOM PACS Server, DICOM Node Configuration must be completed. Click on “DICOM Node Configuration” icon on the right end of the institution row.

Once you have clicked the icon, DICOM Node Configuration page will be opened.

On the left side of the page, you will see postDICOM Server Settings. postDICOM PACS is necessary to transmit DICOM images from your equipment to the postDICOM Cloud. postDICOM PACS Server IP, AE Title and Port must be added to your equipment as a PACS Node. At default postDICOM PACS Server is not configured and it is not running.

On the right side of the field, you will see DICOM Client Settings information. The IP addresses and AE Title values of the devices is defined here. postDICOM PACS server will only receive data from devices which are configured here. For that reason, device information must be entered here before sending data to the postDICOM PACS Server.

In order to add new DICOM client node, fill the related blanks with IP and AE title values in “New DICOM Client Node” field on the right side of the page and then click on “Add” icon.

After clicking, the new DICOM client node will be added to the list. You can add new DICOM Client Nodes by following the same steps.

Step 6: If you want to delete DICOM Client Nodes, click on “Delete” icon on the right side of it.

After creating at least one DICOM Client Node, you can start postDICOM PACS server by clicking on the “Save” button. postDICOM PACS Server will be configured and postDICOM PACS Server IP, port and AE Title values will be shown in PACS server configuration field. Moreover, postDICOM PACS Server will run to accept DICOM images from your equipment. postDICOM PACS Server status can be seen from “PACS Server Instance” field and it can be stopped, if it is not needed.

Step 7: If you have more than one institution, you can create new institutions and assign new PACS Servers to that institution. In order to add institution, click on “Add Institution” button on the upper right side of the page.

When you click on the button, add institution form will be opened. Fill the form with name and address and then click on “Create” button.

Institution will be added to your account and the following massage box will be shown. Click on “OK” button to close the message box.

The institution you have added will be displayed in the institution list.

Step 8: If you want to delete an institution, click on the institution then it will turn into yellow color. After selecting, click on “Delete” icon on the upper ride side of the field.

Once you have clicked on the icon, a message box will be shown. Click on “Yes” to confirm that you want to delete the institution. If you don’t want to delete it, click on “No”.

After clicking on “Yes”, selected institution will be deleted and the following massage box will be shown. Click on “OK” button to close the box.

You can edit Institution information and assign a postDICOM PACS Server to the institution by following the steps above.
